ODB Loved Pussy (According to Method Man)...
...and other things I learned at the Wu-Tang show.
- I know all the words to "Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nothin' to Fuck With" and "Bring the Ruckus" but shouldn't try to yell them as I will lose my voice halfway through anyways.
- Although songs were performed from "Only Built For Cuban Linx" Raekwon did not perform his verses from them for some strange reason. However as Bruce pointed out his voice sounded great when he did rap.
- Method Man may be the most entertaining and charismatic rapper I have ever seen in my life. Seriously, he was worth the price of admission on his own. Also he rapped his entire verse from some song I can't specifically recall WHILE CROWDSURFING.
- I cannot identify Streetlife by his appearance. Also, it took me a good 10 minutes to recognize Cappadonna. Cappa was great though he had quite a few good moments.
- I felt incredibly touched by the ODB tribute where they turned off the lights and played the beat from "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" and let the audience rap Ason's first verse in unison.
- RZA wasn't there, and that ended up being slightly more bothersome to me than I thought it would.
-No material off '8 Diagrams' was played. In fact I don't know that any songs from albums other than "36 Chambers", "Forever" and the first wave of solo albums were played at all. This did not bother me.
- Either Ghostface is taller than I thought or Raekwon is much shorter than I thought.
- It was a wonderfully diverse crowd who were largely very respectful and fun. Wu-Tang truly is for the children.
Holy shit that show was fucking awesome.
